For your entry to qualify, you must:
Be 17+ years of age
Comply with all community guidelines
Your submission must contain:
At least 1000 words
At least 3 choices
At least 1 premium choice
No use of Generative AI
Submissions must have their first version submitted by the deadline in each challenge template.
Three games will be chosen each week as winners…
Most Slashed Award
The game that receives the most bookmarks during each challenge period will win the Most Slashed Award, including a $50 Visa Gift Card!
Creators’ Choice
The creators of Slashfic will choose the game that best matches the Slashfic brand, voice, and style for the Creators’ Choice Award!
Community Choice
The game that receives the most votes in Dorian community (Discord & Socials) will earn the Community Choice Award!
Grand Slashy Awards
The runners-up will be selected for Slashfic’s Two Year Anniversary the weekend of September 13 before the grand winners are selected! These will be the games that earn the most bookmarks during the period from Aug 14 - Sep 18.
As part of Slashfic’s two year anniversary, these games will receive a sapphire giveaway and spotlight on Dorian, as well as receive additional prizes like:
First Place: $100 Visa Gift card
Second Place: $75 Visa Gift card
Third Place: $50 Visa Gift card
Games will also be eligible to work with the Slashfic team directly to get special new assets made for their games and advice on continuing their games into full series!

FAQ
Do I have to use the template?
Yes! Slashfic art & music is only licensed for use through our official templates.
Do we submit story ideas for approval and get granted special access for that specific story?
Nope! No special access nor approval is necessary. You can build your own Slashfic story off of any of the available prompts freely.
Will it just be a one time special event? Is access removed after the event ends?
All stories created through the prompts are here to stay and will never be removed! Even if someone reads them years later, they’ll still be around. The campaign simply offers additional rewards and challenges during its duration.
Is this competition limited to only a few special participants?
Not at all! There is no limit on the amount of participants nor who can participate. Feel free to share the challenges with your friends!
How long do we have to participate?
Each prompt has a submission window of 10 days after being revealed for the purpose of the challenges and reward eligibility. However, even if you don’t make this window, no worries! Your story will still be available on the app for others to read and enjoy!
Does this mean that there won’t be any more official Slashfic works?
Definitely not! We always have new things brewing!
Slashfic was envisioned as a vast world that could be expanded on forever. As long as horror exists, there will be more stories to tell in the world of Slashfic. We want to invite you all to play in our sandbox with us, bringing your creativity to explore the universe. Slashfic belongs to all slashies together! We can’t wait to see what you create!
Can I change the art assets with AI?
Absolutely no use of ai is permitted for this contest. This includes putting Slashfic assets into an ai generator of any kind.
Can I use the assets outside of Dorian to make something for Slashfic?
Yes! As long as your property is new to Dorian and you plan to use the grant money to create a new game on Dorian, you can pitch a pre-existing IP.
Can I write something that has nothing to do with the challenges?
Absolutely! Our challenges are intended to inspire you and reward our most hardcore fans, but you can create any game in the Slashfic universe as long as it follows our community guidelines.
Do I need to have a team to submit?
No! Solo creators are welcome to create alongside creator teams!
Can I add new art as well (for example for my OCs or new slashers I design?)
You’re welcome to include any assets that comply with our community guidelines! You can use stock footage, cosplay photos, sketches or anything else that will help you communicate your vision!
How many games can I submit?
You can submit as many as you like but we recommend focusing on your best ideas! You can only win once.
Does it matter if I submit earlier or later in the submission window?
While games will be accepted for ten days, we recommend you publish your game as early as possible! Publishing earlier will give you more time to bring your fans to increase your bookmarks and entice the community!
Can I edit my game after publishing?
You can edit your game anytime, including after the challenge ends.
When will I find out if I won?
Winners will be announced 4 days after the submission window closes.
