Official Rules for the DORIAN SlashFANfic Campaign
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Sponsor & Campaign Administrator
The Sponsor and Campaign Administrator of the Campaign is DORIAN, 440 N BARRANCA AVE #5571, COVINA, CA 91723, United States ("DORIAN" or "Sponsor").
This Campaign is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Discord Inc., Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., Visa Inc., or any other third-party platform or gift card issuer. By entering the Campaign or by casting a vote in any Community Choice poll, each entrant and voter completely releases Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., and Discord Inc. from any and all liability in connection with the Campaign, and acknowledges that any information provided in connection with the Campaign is provided to Sponsor and not to those platforms.
2. Campaign Period & Prompt Schedule
The DORIAN SlashFANfic Campaign (the "Campaign") runs from 8:00 a.m. (PT) on August 14, 2026 through 8:00 a.m. (PT) on September 18, 2026 (the "Campaign Period"). All times stated in these Official Rules are Pacific Time.
The Campaign consists of four (4) separate creative challenges (each, a "Prompt"). A new Prompt is released at 8:00 a.m. (PT) each Friday beginning August 14, 2026. Each Prompt is governed by the following fixed schedule:
Submission Window. Each Prompt has a ten (10) day submission window, beginning at 8:00 a.m. (PT) on the date the Prompt is released and closing at 8:00 a.m. (PT) ten (10) days later.
Community Poll. The Community Choice poll for that Prompt opens at 8:00 a.m. (PT) immediately upon the close of that Prompt's Submission Window and runs for four (4) days, closing at 8:00 a.m. (PT) four (4) days later.
Winner Announcement. Winners for that Prompt are announced four (4) days after the close of its Submission Window — that is, on the day the Community Poll closes, and fourteen (14) days after the Prompt was released.
Applying that schedule, the dates for each Prompt are as follows. All openings and closings occur at 8:00 a.m. (PT) on the date shown.
Gift cards will be issued electronically to the email address associated with the winner's Dorian creator account and are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer. Where Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that a Visa gift card cannot lawfully or practically be delivered in a winner's country of residence, Sponsor may substitute a cash payment of equivalent value issued through the payment system Tipalti, a third-party provider. When a winner qualifies for such a payment, the winner will receive an invitation to join Tipalti, where the winner can set up a payment method and details. Available payment methods differ depending on the country in which the winner is located. Payment methods offered by Tipalti are described at https://info.tipalti.com/rs/934-OPL-911/images/EB_PAYMENTGUIDE_2020.pdf.
B. Non-Cash Rewards
Sponsor may also make available the following non-cash rewards, each of which has a nominal ARV and is provided at Sponsor's sole discretion:
Participation reward. A unique Discord role and icon for publishing a Compliant Entry for any one (1) of the four Prompts.
Review reward. An additional Discord role and icon for reviewing other entrants' works during the Campaign Period, subject to criteria announced by Sponsor on its Discord server.
Completion reward. 500 Sapphires for entrants who publish a Compliant Entry for all four (4) Prompts or continue 1 Compliant Entry across 4 weeks.
Winner development support. Winners in any category may be offered an opportunity for expansion or continuation of their story, together with additional support from Slashfic creators, additional assets, and development focus on the platform. Such support is discretionary, is not guaranteed in any particular scope or duration, does not constitute an offer, commitment, or contract to publish, develop, fund, or promote any work, and may be modified or withdrawn by Sponsor at any time.
Featured placement. Standout Entries may be featured on the Slashfic Prompt shelf on the App and/or Website.
Discord roles, icons, wardrobe skins, and Sapphires have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, and are subject to Sponsor's and Discord's applicable terms of service. Sponsor does not guarantee the continued availability of any virtual item, and virtual items may be modified or discontinued at any time in accordance with Sponsor's Terms of Use.
C. Persistence of Entries
Entries published on the Dorian platform will remain available on the platform after the Campaign ends, subject to Sponsor's Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and the ICA. Sponsor does not guarantee that any particular Entry will remain available in perpetuity and may remove any Entry in accordance with Section 5 or its Terms of Use.
8. General Prize Conditions
Except as set forth herein, no cash alternative or substitution of prizes will be allowed, except Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute prizes of comparable value if any prize listed is unavailable, in whole or in part, for any reason. Prizes will be awarded only if the potential prize winner fully complies with these Official Rules. All portions of the prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable. Any prizes pictured in point-of-sale, online, television and print advertising, promotional packaging, and other Campaign materials are for illustrative purposes only. All ARVs are subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between guidelines, disclosures or other statements contained in any promotional materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. All details and other restrictions of the prizes not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Each prize winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state, local and/or provincial taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any other fees or costs associated with the applicable prize. If required by law, Sponsor reserves the right to withhold and remit to the appropriate taxing authorities the amount of any tax or taxes due. With respect to non-cash prizes, it may be legally necessary under the United States Internal Revenue Code (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) for a winner to pay the amount of any tax before receiving the prize.
Each potential winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and where imposing such condition is legal, a Publicity Release, and any other documents as required by Sponsor to deliver the prize (collectively, the "Prize Claim Documents"). Sponsor reserves the right to conduct background checks on a potential winner prior to granting any award. Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any individual who has been charged with or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor, is delinquent on child support, spousal support, tax payments or any other government-ordered payment, or has or is suspected of failing to comply with any provision of these Official Rules or the Terms of Use, including, but not limited to, having made any false statements in connection with his or her participation in the Campaign. Should it be determined that a potential winner has made a false statement in any document required by Sponsor, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the potential winner and select an alternate winner. If a potential winner fails or refuses to sign and return all Prize Claim Documents within five (5) days after being notified of selection (or a shorter time if required by exigencies), the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected.
Sponsor makes no warranties, and hereby disclaims any and all warranties, express or implied, concerning any prize furnished in connection with the Campaign. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, SUCH PRIZES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND SPONSOR HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL SUCH WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND/OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Representations and Warranties / Indemnification
Each person who enters this Campaign represents and warrants as follows: (i) except for the Slashfic Elements and as otherwise set forth herein, the Entry is the entrant's own, previously unpublished work; (ii) the Entry does not contain any computer virus, is not otherwise corrupted, is wholly original with the entrant except to the extent it is based on or otherwise derivative of the Slashfic Elements, and as of the date of submission is not the subject of any actual or threatened litigation or claim; (iii) the Entry does not and will not violate or infringe upon the intellectual property rights or other rights of any third party; (iv) the Entry does not and will not violate any applicable laws, and is not and will not be defamatory or libelous; (v) no part of the Entry was created, drafted, or generated using generative artificial intelligence; and (vi) the use of the Entry as set forth herein will not give rise to any claims for any payment whatsoever, including, but not limited to, claims for royalties, re-use fees or residuals, other than amounts expressly payable under the ICA.
Each entrant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Sponsor harmless from and against any and all third party claims, actions or proceedings of any kind and from any and all damages, liabilities, costs and expenses relating to or arising out of (x) any breach or alleged breach of any of the warranties, representations, covenants, obligations or agreements of the entrant hereunder, and (y) any third party claims made in connection with the entrant's Entry.
10. Publicity Release
By participating in the Campaign, in addition to any other grants which may be granted in any other agreement entered into between Sponsor and any entrant in and/or winner of the Campaign, each entrant hereby irrevocably grants Sponsor and its respective successors, assigns and licensees the right to use such entrant's name, creator handle, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, and any other personal characteristics, in any and all media in connection with the Campaign, the Entry, and the advertising and promotion thereof, and each entrant and/or prize winner hereby releases Sponsor from any liability with respect thereto.
11. General Liability Release / Force Majeure
IN NO EVENT WILL SPONSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, BUSINESS OR PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CAMPAIGN OR USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES FROM ANY CLAIM BASED UPON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT SPONSOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, SPONSOR'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU ARISING WITH RESPECT TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES WILL NOT EXCEED $5.00. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any damage to an entrant's, a voter's, or any other person's, computer system which is occasioned by accessing the Website, the App, any Voting Channel, or otherwise participating in the Campaign, or for any computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, misdirected, misprinted, late, lost, damaged, stolen, or postage-due prize notifications; or for lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, servers, satellites, Internet service providers, websites, Discord or Instagram outages, rate limits, content removals, or account restrictions, or other connections; or for miscommunications, failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions; or for any technical malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other errors of any kind or nature; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, including bookmark or vote counts, or the failure to capture any information.
Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process, the voting process on any Voting Channel, or the operation of the Campaign, the Website, the App, or any Voting Channel, or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Campaign, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. No mechanically reproduced, illegible, incomplete, forged, software-generated or other automated multiple Entries or votes will be accepted.
Sponsor reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the Campaign if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Campaign is technically impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions or other causes beyond Sponsor's control have destroyed or severely undermined or to any degree impaired the integrity, administration, security, proper play and/or feasibility of the Campaign as contemplated herein. In the event an insufficient number of eligible Entries are received and/or Sponsor is prevented from awarding any prize or continuing with the Campaign as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic of health or other means, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor's control (each a "Force Majeure" event or occurrence), then subject to any governmental approval which may be required, Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, extend or terminate the Campaign.
Only the type and quantity of prizes described in these Official Rules will be awarded. Except as otherwise set forth herein, these Official Rules cannot be modified or amended in any way except in a written document issued in accordance with law by a duly authorized representative of Sponsor. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision in these Official Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
12. Nature of Relationship / Waiver of Equitable Relief
Each entrant hereby acknowledges and agrees that the relationship between the entrant and Sponsor is not a confidential, fiduciary, or other special relationship, and that the entrant's decision to provide the entrant's Entry to Sponsor for purposes of the Campaign does not place Sponsor in a position that is any different from the position held by members of the general public with regard to elements of the entrant's Entry.
Each entrant understands and acknowledges that Sponsor has wide access to ideas, stories, designs, and other literary materials, and that new ideas are constantly being submitted to it or being developed by its own employees. Each entrant also acknowledges that, because all Entries are created from a common set of Prompts and a common set of Slashfic Elements, many ideas or stories may be competitive with, similar or identical to the Entry and/or each other in theme, idea, plot, format or other respects. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that such entrant will not be entitled to any compensation as a result of Sponsor's use of any such similar or identical material.
Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor does not now and shall not have in the future any duty or liability, direct or indirect, vicarious, contributory, or otherwise, with respect to the infringement or protection of the copyright in and to the Entry. Finally, each entrant acknowledges that, with respect to any claim by the entrant relating to or arising out of Sponsor's actual or alleged exploitation or use of any Entry or other material submitted in connection with the Campaign, the damage, if any, thereby caused to the applicable entrant will not be irreparable or otherwise sufficient to entitle such entrant to seek injunctive or other equitable relief or in any way enjoin the production, distribution, exhibition or other exploitation of any of the Entries, any part of the Slashfic property or any other production based on or allegedly based on the Entry, and the entrant's rights and remedies in any such event shall be strictly limited to the right to recover damages, if any, in an action at law.
13. No Obligation to Use
Sponsor shall have no obligation (express or implied) to use any Entry, to otherwise exploit any Entry, to feature any Entry on any shelf or in any promotion, to award any soft greenlight or development support, or, if commenced, to continue the distribution or exploitation thereof. Sponsor may at any time abandon the use of any Entry for any reason, with or without legal justification or excuse, and entrants shall not be entitled to any damages or other relief by reason thereof.
14. Dates & Deadlines / Anticipated Number of Contestants
Because of the unique nature and scope of the Campaign, Sponsor reserves the right, in addition to those other rights reserved herein, to extend any date(s) or deadline(s) set forth in these Official Rules or otherwise governing the Campaign, including the release date of any Prompt, the length of any Submission Window or poll period, and any announcement date. Sponsor cannot accurately predict the number of entrants who will participate in the Campaign.
15. Further Documentation
If Sponsor shall desire to secure additional certificates of engagement for any Entry or other documents as Sponsor may reasonably require in order to evidence or effectuate the rights granted in these Official Rules, then each entrant agrees to sign, authenticate and deliver the same upon Sponsor's request therefor.
16. Governing Law / Jurisdiction
ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE CAMPAIGN SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE'S LAWS.
17. Arbitration Provision (US Entrants Only)
A. Sponsor and each entrant hereby agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Official Rules or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation or validity thereof (collectively, "Disputes") will be resolved solely by confidential, binding, individual arbitration and not in a class, representative or consolidated action or proceeding. You and Sponsor agree that the U.S. Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of these Official Rules, and that you and Sponsor are each waiving the right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action. This arbitration provision shall survive termination or conclusion of the Campaign.
B. Exceptions. As limited exceptions to Section 17(A) above: (i) we both may seek to resolve a Dispute in small claims court if it qualifies; and (ii) we each retain the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief from a court to prevent (or enjoin) the infringement or misappropriation of our intellectual property rights.
C. Conducting Arbitration and Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (the "AAA Rules") then in effect, except as modified by these Official Rules. The AAA Rules are available at www.adr.org or by calling 1-800-778-7879. A party who wishes to start arbitration must submit a written Demand for Arbitration to AAA and give notice to the other party as specified in the AAA Rules. The AAA provides a form Demand for Arbitration at www.adr.org. Any arbitration hearings will take place in Los Angeles County, unless we both agree to a different location. Sponsor and each entrant agree that the arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to decide all issues relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability and scope of these Official Rules.
D. Arbitration Costs. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA Rules, and we won't seek to recover the administration and arbitrator fees we are responsible for paying, unless the arbitrator finds your Dispute frivolous. If we prevail in arbitration, we'll pay all of our attorneys' fees and costs and won't seek to recover them from you. If you prevail in arbitration, you will be entitled to an award of attorneys' fees and expenses to the extent provided under applicable law.
E. Injunctive and Declaratory Relief. Except as provided in Section 17(B) above, the arbitrator shall determine all issues of liability on the merits of any claim asserted by either party and may award declaratory or injunctive relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party's individual claim. To the extent that you or we prevail on a claim and seek public injunctive relief (that is, injunctive relief that has the primary purpose and effect of prohibiting unlawful acts that threaten future injury to the public), the entitlement to and extent of such relief must be litigated in a civil court of competent jurisdiction and not in arbitration. The parties agree that litigation of any issues of public injunctive relief shall be stayed pending the outcome of the merits of any individual claims in arbitration.
F. Class Action Waiver. YOU AND SPONSOR AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Further, if the parties' Dispute is resolved through arbitration, the arbitrator may not consolidate another person's claims with your claims, and may not otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding. If this specific provision is found to be unenforceable, then the entirety of this Dispute Resolution section shall be null and void.
G. Severability. With the exception of any of the provisions in Section 17(F) of these Official Rules ("Class Action Waiver"), if an arbitrator or court of competent jurisdiction decides that any part of these Official Rules is invalid or unenforceable, the other parts of these Official Rules will still apply.
18. Winners List / Official Rules
To obtain a copy of any legally-required winners list, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: "Dorian" SlashFANfic Campaign Winners List, Dorian Inc., 440 N BARRANCA AVE #5571, COVINA, CA 91723. All such requests must be received within six (6) weeks after the end of the Campaign Period. These Official Rules will be posted on the Website during the Campaign Period.
19. Data Collection
Sponsor collects personal information from you when you enter the Campaign. See Sponsor's privacy policy at https://dorian.live/privacy-policy for information about how personal information may be used.
By participating in this Campaign, entrants acknowledge and agree that their personal data may be collected, processed, and stored by Sponsor in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if located in the European Economic Area, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) if located in California.
Persons who cast a vote in a Community Choice poll, and entrants who receive Discord-based rewards, further acknowledge that their Discord username, Instagram handle, and related platform data may be collected and processed by Sponsor for the purposes of administering the poll, verifying votes, detecting manipulation, and distributing rewards. Sponsor does not control, and is not responsible for, the data practices of Discord Inc., Instagram, or Meta Platforms, Inc., each of which processes voter data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Entrants are responsible for understanding and complying with the data protection laws that apply to them based on their jurisdiction. Dorian will comply with applicable data protection laws depending on the entrant's location.
20. Sponsor
The Sponsor of the Campaign is Dorian Inc., 440 N BARRANCA AVE #5571, COVINA, CA 91723.
Single deadline. An Entry is eligible for every award and reward tied to a Prompt if it is published on the Dorian platform on or before the close of that Prompt's Submission Window. Entries published after the close of a Submission Window are not eligible for any award or reward tied to that Prompt, but may be published on the platform at any time and remain eligible for revenue share under the Independent Creator Agreement.
Overall Campaign winners will be determined based on activity through 8:00 a.m. (PT) on September 18, 2026 and announced on or about September 18, 2026.
Detailed information on the Campaign is included in these Official Rules ("Official Rules"). By submitting an Entry, each entrant agrees to these Official Rules and warrants that the Entry complies with all requirements set out herein.
3. Eligibility
The Campaign is open to entrants who reside anywhere in the world, excluding residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Libya, Crimea, or Somalia, residents of any other country sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury, and residents of any jurisdiction where the Campaign is prohibited by law.
DORIAN employees, contractors and interns, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) of such employees, contractors and interns are not eligible to win prizes in the Campaign.
Only individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old as of August 14, 2026 are eligible to enter the Campaign, whether as individuals or as part of a team. Each Entry may be submitted by an individual creator or by a group of creators; where an Entry is submitted by a group, each member must independently satisfy every eligibility requirement, and Sponsor will treat the account holder who published the Entry as the sole prize recipient for all purposes, including tax reporting.
Entrants must have a writer account on the Dorian platform, accessible through the mobile application "Dorian" (the "App") and the website at https://dorian.live/ (the "Website"), and must have accepted the Independent Creator Agreement ("ICA") applicable to that account.
Voting eligibility. Voting in the Community Choice polls described in Section 6(B)(2) is open to the general public on any of the Voting Channels and is not limited to entrants. Voters need not be eighteen (18) years old, need not have a Dorian account, and need not join Sponsor's Discord server, provided they meet the minimum age and account requirements of the platform on which they vote. Certain rewards described in Section 7 are distributed exclusively through Sponsor's Discord server; entrants who do not join that server may be unable to receive those specific rewards.
4. Submission Requirements
To enter, an eligible entrant must create and publish a story on the Dorian platform using the applicable Prompt made available on the Website and/or App during that Prompt's Submission Window (each such story, an "Entry"). No separate submission form, application, or approval is required.
Each Entry must satisfy all of the following (collectively, the "Submission Requirements"), and any Entry that violates any of the following criteria, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, may be disqualified:
The Entry must be created and published using the applicable Prompt on the Dorian platform during that Prompt's Submission Window. Late Entries will not be considered.
The Entry must be at least one thousand (1,000) words in length, including text baked into images.
The Entry must include at least three (3) reader choices, of which at least one (1) must be a premium choice.
The Entry must be created without the use of generative artificial intelligence. Entrants may not use generative AI tools to produce, draft, expand, rewrite, or otherwise generate any text, image, audio, or other content included in the Entry. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, require an entrant to provide evidence of independent authorship (including drafts, revision history, or a signed attestation) as a condition of any award, and may disqualify any Entry it reasonably believes to have been generated in whole or in part by generative AI.
Except for Slashfic characters, artwork, and other materials made available by Sponsor for use in the Campaign (the "Slashfic Elements"), the Entry must be an original work created by the entrant. Entrants may not copy or otherwise plagiarize any portion of an Entry from any source, nor may an Entry include third-party copyrighted material or artwork without the copyright holder's permission.
The Entry must adhere to Dorian's Community Guidelines (https://dorian.live/documents/community-guidelines) and may not include obscenity, pornography, libelous content, hate speech, disparagement, overly graphic or sexual content, and/or otherwise objectionable content.
The entrant must accept all terms and conditions of these Official Rules.
Entrants may create original characters and original settings and are not required to use every Slashfic character.
Slashfic Elements and revenue share. Any license granted to entrants to use the Slashfic Elements, and any revenue share payable to a creator in connection with premium choices unlocked by readers, are governed exclusively by the Independent Creator Agreement accepted by the entrant upon registering a creator account at https://dorian.live, and not by these Official Rules. Revenue share is not a prize, is not consideration for entering the Campaign, and is neither increased nor decreased by winning or failing to win any award described herein. In the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and the ICA with respect to intellectual property or revenue share, the ICA controls.
5. Submission Restrictions
Any Entry that, in Sponsor's sole discretion, violates the Submission Requirements and/or these Official Rules may be disqualified. The Website's database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Campaign. For the avoidance of doubt, each Entry's cover will be considered part of that Entry. Once submitted as part of this Campaign, Entries will be subject to the Independent Creator Agreement that entrants accept upon registering their creator accounts on the Website.
An entrant may submit an Entry for each of the four (4) Prompts, and may submit more than one Entry per Prompt. Duplicate Entries containing the same or substantially the same content are not allowed.
In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an Entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor's satisfaction, the affected Entry may be disqualified. Sponsor shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate Entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Campaign, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing or transmission of Entries. Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of Entries.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If Sponsor is duly notified that any element of an entrant's Entry infringes upon the rights of another person and/or receives a legally valid request to remove the affected Entry from the Website and/or the App because of such infringement, such Entry may be removed from the Website and App, and/or disqualified from the Campaign, as Sponsor may determine in its unfettered discretion. Once an Entry is provided to Sponsor and made available on the Website and/or App as set forth herein for viewing by the general public, such posting will be deemed made at the direction of the entrant within the meaning of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and the Communications Decency Act.
DORIAN reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Entries and to disqualify any entrant who submits an Entry that is not in accordance with these Official Rules or who tampers with the entry, voting, or measurement process. In the event DORIAN determines there has been a violation of any of these restrictions, it may disqualify the subject Entry, cancel any prizes or rewards awarded for the Entry, and/or remove the Entry. Failure by DORIAN to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
6. Judging and Winner Selection
This is a skill-based campaign and chance plays no part in the determination of winners. Chances of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible Entries received.
A. Compliance Review. Sponsor or its designee will review Entries for compliance with these Official Rules on a rolling basis during each Submission Window, and will complete that review before the Community Poll for that Prompt opens. Entries determined to be compliant with these Official Rules will be deemed "Compliant Entries." Sponsor reserves the right to determine that an Entry is non-compliant, and to disqualify it, at any time before a prize is awarded.
B. Award Categories. For each Prompt, Sponsor will recognize up to three (3) winners, one in each of the following categories:
Slashfic Creators' Pick. Jess Nevermoor, a creator of Slashfic (the "Judge"), will review the Compliant Entries for that Prompt and select one (1) winner. Entries will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria: (i) creativity and originality; (ii) quality of writing and characterization; and (iii) responsiveness to the Prompt. The Judge's review period for each Prompt runs from the close of that Prompt's Submission Window through the applicable announcement date set out in Section 2.
Community Choice. One (1) winner will be selected by public vote conducted during the four (4) day Community Poll period set out in Section 2 for that Prompt. All Compliant Entries for that Prompt are included in the vote. Voting is conducted across the following channels (collectively, the "Voting Channels"):
Discord. A poll posted in Sponsor's official Discord server listing the Compliant Entries for that Prompt. Voting is limited to one (1) vote per Discord member per Prompt.
Instagram. A single dedicated post published for that Prompt on the official Dorian account and the official Slashfic Games account on Instagram ( a "Voting Post"). A person votes by leaving a comment on a Voting Post naming the Compliant Entry they are voting for.
Instagram comment voting. Each qualifying comment counts as one (1) vote, subject to the following:
One vote per account per Voting Post. Where the same Instagram account comments more than once on the same Voting Post, only the earliest qualifying comment will be counted. Replies to another person's comment are not counted.
The comment must identify one Compliant Entry clearly enough for Sponsor to determine which Entry is intended. Comments that name no Entry, name more than one Entry, name a work that is not a Compliant Entry for that Prompt, or are otherwise ambiguous, illegible, or non-responsive will not be counted. Sponsor's determination of what a comment identifies is final.
Timing. Only comments posted while that Prompt's Community Poll is open are counted. Comments posted before the poll opens or after it closes will not be counted, and Sponsor will use the timestamp recorded by Instagram.
Deleted or hidden comments. A comment that has been deleted at the time Sponsor tallies the vote will not be counted. Sponsor is not responsible for comments hidden, filtered, delayed, rate-limited, or removed by Instagram's automated systems, by a commenter's own account or privacy settings, or for any comment Sponsor is otherwise unable to view.
Aggregation. Votes cast on all Voting Channels are aggregated by Sponsor to determine a single Community Choice winner for each Prompt. A person who votes on more than one Voting Channel will have one vote counted on each such channel. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to apply relative weighting to the votes cast on each Voting Channel in order to account for differences in audience size across platforms; where Sponsor applies such weighting, it will be announced at the time the Community Poll opens. Sponsor's tally is final and conclusive for all purposes.
Integrity. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void votes it believes to result from vote-buying, automated or bot voting, use of multiple, duplicate, purchased, or inauthentic accounts, coordinated brigading, or any other form of manipulation, and to disqualify any Entry or entrant that participates in or benefits from such conduct. Sponsor may add, remove, or substitute a Voting Channel, or substitute an alternative voting mechanic on any Voting Channel, if a platform limitation, outage, or policy change prevents the mechanic described above from operating as intended, and will announce any such change on the Voting Channels then in use.
Most Bookmarks. One (1) winner will be selected based on the highest number of bookmarks recorded by Sponsor's systems for that Prompt's Compliant Entries, measured from the Prompt release through the close of that Prompt's Community Poll. Sponsor's records of bookmark counts are final and conclusive for all purposes. Bookmarks that Sponsor determines to have been artificially inflated — including through paid engagement, bot activity, bookmark-exchange arrangements, or the use of multiple accounts — will be excluded and may result in disqualification.
C. Overall Campaign Winners. In addition to the per-Prompt categories, Sponsor will award first, second, and third place based on the highest aggregate bookmark counts recorded across all of an entrant's Compliant Entries for all four Prompts, measured from 8:00 a.m. (PT) on August 14, 2026 through 8:00 a.m. (PT) on September 18, 2026.
D. Ties. In the event of a tie in either Most Bookmarks category, or a tie in the aggregated Community Choice vote, the Judge will select the winner from among the tied Compliant Entries applying the criteria set out in Section 6(B)(1).
E. Limits. LIMIT: one (1) award per category per entrant or team of entrants per Prompt. An entrant may win in more than one category and in more than one Prompt. Where the same entrant would otherwise place more than once in the Overall Campaign rankings, only that entrant's highest placement will be awarded and the next-ranked eligible entrant will move up.
DORIAN reserves the right to select no winners in any category if, in DORIAN's sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries.
The decisions of Sponsor and the Judge with respect to the Campaign are final and binding in all respects and are not subject to challenge or appeal. Potential winners must meet all eligibility requirements including the timely execution and return of all necessary releases and documents (including but not limited to an affidavit of eligibility, a tax acknowledgement form, liability release, and, except where prohibited by law, a publicity release) within five (5) days after accepting the notification. Non-compliance with each allotted time period, or failure of a potential prize winner to respond after two notification attempts, may result in disqualification and, at DORIAN's discretion, an alternate winner may be selected from among the remaining qualifying Entries. If (i) any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, (ii) a potential winner declines the prize, or (iii) a potential winner fails to comply with any of these Official Rules, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected at DORIAN's sole and absolute discretion.
