Key Metrics
Completion Rate: The percentage of players who finish an episode. Your first episode’s completion rate is especially important. Aim for ~50-70% as a good benchmark.
Playthrough Count: The number of players who started the episode. Wait until at least ~100 players have played before interpreting your data.
Drop-off Rate per Node: Open your Live Episodes to see which scene nodes have a high drop-off (>5-10% drop) and investigate what is causing the exit.
⚠️ Wait to have at least 100 playthroughs to interpret your data.
How to Optimize
Cover / Title: If your playthrough count is low, test new covers and titles. First impressions matter!
Episode Flow: If players are dropping off in a specific node, check for issues like long narration, no choice, or confusing layout. Add more interactive moments.
Premium Choice Conversion: Ensure your premium choices are clear, desirable, and fulfilling. A poor conversion rate signals the need to refine the offer or pricing
⚠️ Your first release is only the beginning. All Dorian hit games get there through multiple rounds of data analysis and optimization.
