Design your Arcana Apprentice in Modern Arcana and win prizes!

March 15th - April 4th

Theme: Participants must create artwork featuring an original character in the Modern Arcana universe.

  • Eligibility: The competition is open to all individuals excluding employees and affiliates of Dorian Live.

  • Submission: Artwork must be submitted by Tuesday April 4th 11:59 pm PT. Submissions should be posted on Instagram tagging both @thearcanagame and @dorian.live and using hashtag #modernarcana. By entering the competition, participants grant Dorian Live the right to repost their artwork on their official channels for promotional purposes, with appropriate credit given.

Prizes:

First place

An Arcana plushie of the winner’s choice (main 6 or Faust.)

A modern adaptation of an official illustration of the winner’s choice from artist Drakonishe

Second place

A $25 gift card to The Arcana merch store

Third place

A $10 gift card to the Arcana merch store

Judging Criteria:

1st place winner will be selected by a panel of three judges according to the following criteria:

Creativity and Originality (0-10 points): Assess the uniqueness and inventiveness of the character design. Give higher scores to characters that stand out with innovative features or concepts.

Adherence to Theme (0-10 points): Evaluate how well the character fits into the established world or universe. Award points based on alignment with the existing lore, aesthetics, and atmosphere of the world.

Artistic Execution (0-10 points): Evaluate the technical proficiency demonstrated in the artwork. Consider factors such as anatomy, proportions, shading, coloring, and overall visual appeal.

The winner will be the participants who scores closer to 90 points

2nd and 3rd place winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries.

Winners will be announced LIVE by Shinorisu on the Dorian App on Friday April 5th at 1pm PT

Artwork Requirements:

  • Artwork must be original and created solely by the entrant.

  • Entries must adhere to the Modern Arcana theme.

  • Only one entry per participant is allowed.

  • Entries must be submitted within the provided template.

  • Disqualification: Entries that violate copyright laws, contain offensive or inappropriate content, or fail to comply with the submission guidelines will be disqualified.

    Modification of Rules: The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

    By entering the competition, participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations.
