Wait a minute, how do I make a revenue share prompt with custom art?

Follow this tutorial to create your custom art prompt!

First, make sure you’ve registered as a creator and gotten access to custom art through the form.

You will see a Backgrounds and Character Art Library button on the home page. Click to start uploading! Adding art to these libraries will make them usable in any of your stories. They will not be available for any other creators unless you share them through a prompt.

You can zoom in and out, crop, and reposition both backgrounds and characters. If you plan to add multiple characters, save their position so you can make sure they’re consistent!

Now, it’s time to create your prompt! Start by creating an empty story by hitting the “Create story” button on the left margin. Don’t worry about filling in the details yet. This will generate a blank canvas for you. Follow these simple steps to make your prompt:

  1. Click “View Book”

  2. In the left margin, look for the green button that says Then, hit “Make a prompt.”

  3. You can now title and describe your prompt. Make sure you set the dial to “I claim ownership” and hit “Save as a Story Prompt.”

Now that you have your prompt, you can start adding content! Click the Characters button to add your characters. Click “Custom” and then “image” to search your uploaded characters. For a more in depth tutorial, check the Writer’s Corner article here.

Once you’ve chosen a character, simply giving it a player-facing name and you will be able to add it dialogue in your story! You can even play-test instantly in the emulator!

NOTE: You will notice that the right side of your character may appear cut off. This is only the case in the emulator and will not appear this way in the final version.

Ready to share your prompt? Only a few steps left!

  • Set your revenue share %! On the book level, click “Story Settings” and adjust the slider to set your preferred revenue.

  • Set tags related to your topic! If you’re using custom art, make sure to use the #otome game tag to help fans find your prompt!

  • Create a cover that shows off your art! Check out the examples of amazing covers on Dorian below

  • When you’re ready, click “Release in the App” and your prompt will appear instantly in your profile for use by creators!

In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between guidelines, disclosures or other statements contained in any such promotional materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.  All details and other restrictions of the prize(s) not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by Dorian in its sole discretion.  The Prize winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state, local and/or provincial taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any other fees or costs associated with the applicable prize.  If required by law, Dorian reserves the right to withhold and remit to the appropriate taxing authorities the amount of any tax or taxes due.  With respect to non-cash prizes, it may be legally necessary under the United States Internal Revenue Code (as determined by Dorian in its sole discretion) for the Prize winner to pay the amount of any tax before receiving the prize.  Each potential winner (or, if the potential winner is a minor, their parent or legal guardian) may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and where imposing such condition is legal, a Publicity Release, and any other documents as required by Dorian to deliver the prize (collectively, the “Prize Claim Documents”). Dorian reserves the right to conduct background checks on the potential winner prior to granting any award.  Dorian also reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any individual who has been charged with or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor, is delinquent on child support, spousal support, tax payments or any other government ordered payment, has or is suspected of failing to comply with any provision of these Official Rules or the Terms of Use, including, but not limited to, having made any false statements in connection with his/her participation in the Contest. Should it be determined that a potential winner has made a false statement in any document required by Dorian, Dorian reserves the right to disqualify the potential winner and select an alternate winner.  If a potential winner (or a minor potential winner’s parent or legal guardian) fails or refuses to sign and return all the Prize Claim Documents within five (5) days after being notified that they have been selected as the potential winner (or a shorter time if required by exigencies), the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected.
