Since the creation of the Arcana Ambassador program, we have seen some recurring questions we want to answer! Please read below to see our answers.

What is an “Ambassador”?

An Ambassador is a super-fan who has the opportunity to voice their opinions directly to the Dorian team. This is a volunteer position that anyone can apply for! Currently, the Ambassador Program is for The Arcana, but we will add members for individual FictIf stories in the future!

What does an Ambassador do?

Ambassadors have the chance to do things like: read content early to give advice on character voice, world lore; suggest superfan easter eggs; vote on illustrations, titles, and other upcoming content; be the first to know about upcoming events; discuss fan concerns with the Dorian team, and much more! 

Ambassadors also get first access to upcoming art and materials, which means they can tease what’s coming up! Keep an eye on their socials if you want these first sneak peeks!

Does the Ambassador program involve writing?

The Ambassador role is strictly an advisory one. Ambassadors do not write any content for Dorian, though we hope our amazing Ambassadors will create their own games on Dorian!

Do Ambassadors choose which characters will get additional content?

The Ambassadors advise Dorian on upcoming content but do not make unilateral decisions. Don’t worry – all Arcana love interests will get equal treatment! Ambassadors’ personal favorites will not define which characters get content. Dying to see a certain character? You can create that content yourself! We will gladly help you get started. 

How are the Ambassadors chosen?

Dorian received nearly 200 applications for Ambassadors. Ambassadors were chosen based on their answers to the application form visible here. They were required to:

• Have read (and loved) all 6 love interest routes. 

• Have extensive knowledge of the full lore, as some details are revealed in one route but not in another. 

• Have a proven status as a positive and collaborative member of the community 

What benefits do the Ambassadors get?

Ambassadors get early access, becoming the first to see upcoming content. They get to give feedback directly to the writing and art team and get a peek “behind the scenes”. The Ambassadors have access to exclusive social channels that allow them to discuss ideas together and have a direct line to Dorian. They’ll also get exclusive access to sneak peek assets to share with the greater community! 

What are the Ambassadors’ communication guidelines?

Just like anyone on Dorian or our socials, Ambassadors are required to follow community guidelines. Ambassadors are volunteers using their own social media accounts. Ambassadors are welcome to share approved sneak peek materials about upcoming content & events. It is up to each individual Ambassador if they wish to share their social media and identity with the community. 

Can I chat with the Ambassadors?

You will often see the Ambassadors on the Dorian discord and The Arcana instagram. Feel free to say hello! Keep in mind, if you have complaints or issues, the appropriate place to file those is with the Dorian team at support@dorian.live. As with all our users, Dorian has a zero tolerance policy for harassment and bullying.
