Battle of the Bands Challenge FAQ

Hey rock n rollers! Ready for a chance at $250 or a narrative consultation with ex-Telltale narrative director Ryan Kaufman?

Here are some tips for submission.

Record your song snippet using tools of your choice, whether it’s a phone microphone or music production software.
Make sure your song file is an mp3 and is no more than six minutes in length.
Upload your file to google drive or dropbox and make sure it’s publicly accessible.
Share the file’s link in the SONG section of the Typeform!
When filling out the Typeform, confirm that this song was created by you, and that Dorian & Ryan Kaufman has permission to include it in the Arcana: Heartbreak Rhapsody finale if it’s selected!

Navigate to your Dorian editor home page. If you haven’t made an account, sign up by clicking sign up here.
From the home page, under Get Started, click “Enter Now” on the Battle of the Bands Challenge, then “Use this Prompt: FREE” at the popup.
Create your game within the template.
When you’re ready, publish your game before July 14th, 2025 by hitting the “Release in the app” button on the left of the game page in the web editor.
To enter it in the typeform, once it’s released to the app, search for the game in the app, and click the share arrow in the upper right of the game page, then copy the link. That’s what you’ll paste into the typeform.

and the Dorian team, on how to take your narrative skills even further!

For your scene, you can use any characters from your own games and stories. Re-envision them in a rock-band style!

Fill out the Typeform and make sure your SONG link is accessible for download and your SCENE is published on Dorian by July 14, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT.
Creators may submit multiple entries.
Creators don’t need to submit a SCENE to be eligible for the SONG category, and vice versa.
In the SCENE category, entry must be 1 episode long, use the Battle of the Bands template, and be under 1k words.
Content may be linear or interactive via player choices, affection points, or multiple endings.
Your scene may include characters of your own creation, or ones from the Arcana universe. No other existing characters from TV, games or films, please.
